The Third Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection of Christ

Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.




1.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: At daybreak on the first day of the week they took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. (Lk 24:1)

2.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. (Lk 24:2-3)

3.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: "Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised." (Lk 24:5b-6a)

4.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: Mary of Magdala went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord,"...(Jn 20:18)

Scripture: On the evening of that first day of the week,...Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you." (Jn 20:19)

Scripture: "...he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." (Jn 20:22-23)

Scripture: Now that very day two of them were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus,...Jesus himself drew near and walked with them. (Lk 24:13,15)

8.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: Then, beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the scriptures. (Lk 24:27)

9.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: A week later...he said to Thomas, "...do not be unbelieving, but believe." Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" (Jn 20:26-28)

10.Almighty God, Heavenly King, You are the Lord! Blessed art thou in heaven, and blessed is thy sacred word! Holy Jesus, eternally begotten son of God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and kindle in our hearts the fire of your divine love!

Scripture: After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once,...After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all,...he appeared to me [Paul]. (1 Cor 15:6-8)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.<

O my Jesus, forgive us of our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.
